There is a link on the right hand side enabling one to order certificates online. A very efficient service that has been so useful being here in Hong Kong. The cost of a certificate is £7 at the moment including postage. One needs to get the registration reference from the FreeBMB web site below. |
| FreeBMD | FreeBMD is an ongoing project, the aim of which is to transcribe the Civil Registration index of births, marriages and deaths for England and Wales and to provide free Internet access to the transcribed records. This service is free and enables one to obtain the reference of the certificate but not the actual certificate. |
